BCRW Officers Meet Dana Perino

TFRW recently had a fundraiser in Austin and a few Bastrop County Republican Women Offers and Members got to attend and meet Dana Perino.

Dana Perino served as the White House Press Secretary for President George W. Bush from September 14, 2007 to January 20, 2009. She was the second female White House Press Secretary. Since leaving the White House, Perino is now a political commentator on Fox News.

Summer Update

I hope you are enjoying your summer! The BCRW doesn’t have a separate meeting this month, but I will be attending the BCRP meeting. Please join us there for a Republican Summer update.

The BCRP meeting will be held in Elgin on Monday, July 27th at 7pm. It is located at the First National Bank Community Room in Elgin off Hwy 290.

Our Next Regular meeting is not until October, but be on the lookout for updates from me over the next few weeks about upcoming events & news! We are planning on a busy Fall once kids are back in school!

BCRW October Meeting Posponed – Attend Forum Instead

The Bastrop County Republican Women’s meeting scheduled for October 16th has been postponed and will be combined with the Bastrop Country Republican Party’s meeting on October 27th in Bastrop at the First National Bank Training Room, on Hwy 71.

Instead, the BCRW encourages everyone to attend the important Political Candidate Forum sponsored by the Bastrop Business & Professional Women’s organization and the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce. The forum will be held Thursday, October 16 at 7:00 PM in the Bastrop Opera House.

BCRW President Marilyn Etzel said “Our organization exists to support our local Republican candidates and we felt that it was very important for all our members and the public to attend the Candidate Forum that was scheduled at the same time. We appreciate and thank the Business & Professional Women and the Chamber of Commerce for giving local candidates the opportunity to meet and speak to the Bastrop Community.”
