Safeguard against identity theft

Kirsten Niedzwecki, owner of Character Defined, will be the guest speaker at the

Bastrop County Republican Women’s Meeting on Thursday, May 15, at 7:00. The Meeting

will be held at the main branch of the First National Bank in Bastrop. Her presentation on

‘How to safeguard against identity theft and how to recover if you have been victimized by this fraud’

is open to the public.

 

Kirsten formerly served three Texas Attorneys General as their Chief Investigator for Civil

Enforcement specializing in consumer protection. While working for the State, she provided

multi-agency training to civil and criminal investigators, conducted and supervised complex

investigations, and spoke to community organizations on issues related to consumer fraud.

 

Kirsten is an advocate for consumer education and strong ethical business practices. Regarded

as an engaging speaker and effective teacher in principled decision making, Kirsten has spoken

to groups across the US and Europe. She is also a passionate proponent of character education

in public and private schools and develops values-themed materials for students K-12.
